CPR with AED training

AED stands for Automated External Defibrillators and are an added advantage in a CPR (Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation) training. Having expertise in using these devices can give life to many people who otherwise have to face death. Many hospitals, government institutions, hotels, home care, and medical facilities need people with CPR certification as well as with knowledge and hands on experience with these automated devices.

  • These devices are used to fight save lives of those suffering with cardiac problems.
  • There is no need to have an additional medical experience to get trained on these devices.
  • Cardiovascular disease is the main cause of many deaths in the United States. AEDs can be used o people experiencing cardiac arrests and irregular heartbeat, also known as Arrhythmia. Symptoms include chest pain or loss of consciousness.
  • These external defibrillators restore the heart’s electrical signal in situations where if not done can take the life of the patient.
  • In most situations, CPR and AED training is done simultaneously in the same situation.
  • The American Red Cross and the American Heart Association are two main agencies providing training on AEDs and CPR.
  • Though it is more an onsite hands-on thing to learn using AEDs, there are also options to do it from your home or work place without having to have a facilitator.
  • The American Heart Association offers this non-on-site program either for a group or for individuals. It is self-directed and sufficient for training.
  • This is not a certification unless it is paired with the American Heart Association’s evaluation skills.
  • Installation and use of AEDs if the first positive step in saving lives of people with heart related problems.
  • The AED certification is like a necessary second piece of live-saving tool along with CPR certification.
